Heather Padgett and Kelly O'Carroll met in 2003, before either of them were aestheticians and have been besties ever since. They took a shared path in Aesthetics and have 34 years of combined experience doing what they love to help their clients feel and look their best. With a shared philosophy of trying to help their clients attain their own personal standard of beauty, they have always aspired to work in the medical aesthetics industry so that they could up the ante on solutions to concerns that plague these clients.
Although spa treatments deliver results, there are limitations to how results-oriented they can be. This is how medical aesthetics can contribute. Teaming up with our medical director and nurse injectors, and acquiring laser and microneedling certifications, Kelly and Heather can now offer just the type of services that are needed to reach your goals with less effort and downtime. Bryant Edwards, DO
Medical Director
Halcyon Dermaesthetics is honored to be under the experienced cosmetic medical direction of Dr. Bryant S. Edwards. Dr Edwards is a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and board-certified anesthesiologist. As a health and wellness physician in private practice, he understands the important role aesthetic medicine plays in overall health.

Dr Edwards is originally from the Mississippi Delta, and always had a passion for helping other people. He pursued his mission to serve through military service and worked as a licensed practical nurse (LPN), a registered nurse (RN), and an EMT-B. Dr. Edwards went on to attend medical school at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Parker, Colorado. He then completed his residency in anesthesiology through SAUSHEC.

Katie Richardson, FNP-C
Nurse Practitioner
Katie is a board-certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-C). She has been in the nursing field for over ten years, with experience in adult emergencies, pediatric care and medical aesthetics. She has completed numerous trainings and certifications in basic and advanced neurotoxin and dermal fillers for facial enhancements.
Although Katie thoroughly enjoys providing quality health care in all areas, she has a keen interest in medical aesthetics and a real appreciation of the relationship between inner and outer beauty. Halcyon Dermaesthetics is thrilled to have her part of the team.

Melodi Langlois, RN BSN
Registered Nurse
Melodi received a BA in Psychology, a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing and is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Nursing Practice. She has primarily worked as a Registered Nurse on a medical surgical unit. With a passion for aesthetics, she has become a certified nurse injector and trained additionally in laser certification. An avid traveller and cyclist, she lives in Raleigh with her husband and two very large and lovable Akitas.
